OKR software cost calculator

OKR tools charge in three different ways: per seat, one flat price, or per contributor. Which one is cheapest depends on how many of your people actually own key results. Set your numbers and see.

Do the math

What you'd actually pay

We charge for people who run OKRs, not for everyone who reads them. Flat-rate tools charge one price for the whole company. Which is cheaper depends entirely on how many of your people actually own key results — so set that number yourself.

Starts at 1 contributor per 5 people — our assumption, not a measurement. Drag it to your real number.

OKR Studio
$576/year

6 contributors at $8/month annually. The other 24 people read and comment for free.

Flat-rate tool
$1,238/year

One price for the whole company, whoever participates. Shown at the category's entry flat-rate tier of $129/month on annual billing ($1,548/year if billed monthly). No free tier.

Per-seat tool
$2,880/year

Every person is billed whether they own a key result or only read one. Shown at a common category rate of $8/user/month.

At 6 active contributors, OKR Studio costs $662 less per year than a flat-rate tool. That flips once you pass 13 contributors — above that, flat-rate is the cheaper structure and we would rather you knew.

Competitor prices verified 13 October 2026. Comparator rates are published list prices for the OKR category on annual billing. Flat-rate tiers and per-seat rates vary by vendor, so check the current price before you decide. Our Free plan covers up to 3 users. Implementation fees and paid add-ons are excluded from every column.

The three pricing models

  • Per seat. Every user is billed, whether they own a key result or only read one. Simple, but the bill grows with every hire and every stakeholder you invite.
  • Flat rate. One price for the whole company. Predictable, and cheapest when many people own key results, but small teams pay the full entry price.
  • Per contributor. Only people who create and own key results are billed. Viewers and stakeholders are free. Cheapest when a focused group owns the goals and everyone else reads.

How the calculator works

The contributor slider starts at one contributor per five people. That is our assumption, not a measurement, so drag it to your real number. All columns use published list prices on annual billing. We build OKR Studio, so the per-contributor column is our own price. The flat-rate and per-seat columns use common category rates.

Frequently asked questions

How much does OKR software cost?

It depends on the pricing model and on how many people own key results. Per-seat tools typically charge $6 to $13 per user per month for everyone. Flat-rate tools charge one price for the whole company, with entry tiers around $129/month. Per-contributor tools such as OKR Studio charge only for the people who create and own key results, at $8/month on annual billing, and viewers are free.

When is flat-rate OKR pricing cheaper?

Flat-rate pricing wins once many people actively own key results. Against a $129/month flat plan on annual billing, per-contributor pricing at $8/month is cheaper until roughly 13 contributors. Above that, flat-rate costs less.

Who counts as a contributor?

A contributor is someone who creates, owns or updates OKRs. People who only read, comment or follow progress are viewers or stakeholders, and OKR Studio does not charge for them.

Does the calculator include implementation fees or add-ons?

No. It compares published list prices on annual billing only. Implementation fees, paid integrations and other add-ons are excluded from every column, so check each vendor's pricing page before you decide.
